Fish Hoek at the mouth if the Silvermine River was initially used as an informal basis for whaling and fishing, today it is a great family beach. This long sandy beach makes for some great fun, the rock pools offer fabulous exploration opportunities, there is plenty of space for beach games, and the white sand makes it very pleasurable for sunbathers. The water is generally not that cold and the shallow waters and calm waves makes for pleasant swimming. The view over False Bay is magnificent. A much laid-back beach making it s great spot to relax. Lovelly corner on the far side offers some surf and whales can often be spotted here in season
